Whats the AT light?

Are the alternator and the water pump driven off the same belt?

No Nick the water pump is driven by the back of the Cam Belt , the alternator has it's own belt .

Connect a multi meter and have a look at the voltages across the batt with the car off and then running

Sorry, John. I don't know how a sports GT fits together.

pretty sure they are all the same unless it is a 4g63 which has a sperate water pump ( and no I didn't read the sports gt bit before posting /pan )

Your alternator's busted and it's slowly vampiring your battery to death. Get it changed and you should be fine. The other warning lights will almost certainly be phantom errors. This happened to be both times my alternator went. As soon as the system voltage goes below 12 volts, it sends the sensors and gauges absolutely loopy. I crawled back onto my drive with the car showing ABS, TCL and AYC faults, and the boost gauge telling me that at idle the engine was producing somwhere between 0.1 and 1.6 bar of boost!!
