Alarm system - where should i put the hooter - Any advice?

Hi folk,

i have bought me an alarm system from mitsubishi germany powered by in-pro(Laserline) to secure a little bit more my Kenwood Navigation / Multimedia system.

But the question is where should i put the hooter? In the engine room or inside the car?
Any advice? Thanks a lot.

In the engine bay. It will be louder outside the car, which is surely what you want?

hooter in the engine bay, but closer to the bottom so the the sound can escape from underneath the car louder. Also the hooter should face backwards so that it doesn't scoop up gravel or anything.
