Not the computer sort. Found this little baby in the garden an hour ago ........ waited and watched but it's mum has gone/lost it/dumped it.

It's furry but eyes still closed.

What can I feed it? What does it eat?

That's the cutest thing I've seen in ages.

We have/had a mouse in our kitchen somewhere. I put down some humane mouse traps but I haven't seen it for a few weeks.

If we ever catch it and it looks like that, I'm keeping it.

Thanks everyone (well, almost everyone!).

My brother responded in the same vein as some replies - 'have you got a brick', 'try squeezing it', 'put it on some cotton wool in a nice small box ....... and bury the box'.

It IS cute ........ and it's my daughter who has TOLD me to rescue it ....... I'm left holding the baby for the night - gah!

if you squeeze the neck the head explodes :evil2:

i prefer the cat method , but if the cat is distrcted by the pigeons then the air rifle does quiet well , i do find though that you need to be accurate because of the size , and they make a very high pitched squeel when you shoot an ear off/pan /pan

Well ...... you may joke about the wee little thing but earlier this evening -

Our kitchen sink garbage disposal unit has been playing up and we've been very careful to leave the plug in so that nothing falls in by mistake and damages the cutters when switched on. However, the plumber came earlier to fix it and left the plug off when he left. My daughter has been feeding the mouse over the sink as it gets messy with kitten formula being very sticky. Well ........ my wife came home from work, not realising that the mouse had just wriggled out of my daughter's hand - and switched on the disposal unit to check that the plumber had mended it.

So ........ that's that!!!

It's fortunate that the mouse had escaped from my daughter momentarily back in the lounge where it sleeps in a shoe box /Devil5

I said exactly the same to my daughter ....... quite surprised really. He/she does seem full of energy and has started squeeking at length. If I put my open hand in his shoe box, once he has found my hand as he stumbles around blind he now scrambles up into my palm - probably for warmth and a secure feeling.

I'm a fully fledged surrogate ........... /Grrr

OK ........ we've had a few trials and tribulations but SHE's still alive.

She was blind until Sunday 22nd which would make her 14 days old at that point. She is 19 days old today (Friday).

Picture 1 was taken last Monday 23rd ........ that evening I was fairly certain she was going to die in the night as she was so lethargic. Kept feeding her hourly through the night and she was much better next day. :)

Pic 2 was taken on Wednesday 25th ...... you get an idea of how small she is next to a cherry.

Pic 3 & 4 were taken at lunchtime today ...... obviously MY pizza is the piece on the right. :)

(Anyone want a tame mouse now?)

This is still a wild animal, personally if I was in Richards place I get my vaccinations sharpish.

As for being desexed; I'm pretty sure that the way he carries on Richard has been desexed for some time now.

As you were.
