Hello Peeps,

Could you confirm that this would fit?

And what gauges do you suggest?

So....

If I want to measure oil pressure and oil temp, then I need two of these?

And do the sensors generaly come with the gauges or do they need to be purchased separately?

no just the one plate... they usually have roome for 2 or 3 sensors.

that one appears to have room for 3,

the sensors come with the guages. (as long as you buy new, cant guarantee if there second hand)

but sandwich plate isnt the best used for temp as the oil that flows there isnt "real" temp....

might aswell use this thread to pose my question.

Wheres the best location to plum in a temp gauge?

sump is best,
but that means taking off your sump and having a fitting brassed in place so you can fit it,

imo by the filter is close enough to knowing the true temp.

For me close is close enough, I just want to know when it's more or less up to temp so that I can have some fun without risking the engine to much.

Top tip:-

Use RTV seal on the guage ports and let it set for 24hrs before start up. Otherwise you will chase leaks for ever!

We probably see one of these a week from the fto guys and a very high proportion leak from the guage ports without a bit of RTV.

Cheers,

Ben.
