Another way to calculate total 8G production figures

Have a look at this recall, every 8G was affected by it, at least until the recall was made in 2005. (by which stage only 2.0l models were being made anyway)

2560 Galant Prefacelift VR-4's were made
1284 Galant Facelift VR-4's were made

23022 Legnum Prefacelift VR-4's and ST-R's were made
3140 Legnum Facelift VR-4's were made

Brad - the numbers seem a bit strange? Wouldn't you expect the ratio of saloons and estates to roughly the same in pre and post facelift? Or was the STR only a pre facelift car and sold in vast quantities?

yeah ST-R's were prefacelift only. Same overall spec as a VR-4, but without turbos, AYC or ASC and thats about it! For facelifts there were 2.4 gdi's only, you couldn't buy a jdm 6a13 n/a, but you could buy them in both UK and NZ.
