Yep, just to confirm, Wouter is right - All safe.

Has your car got lots of 'G' stickers in the back window then, or have they been peeled off?

Excellent. Yes, the "G" Stickers are applied by the dealer in japan when recall work is carried out. If you look closely, in the G there is a serial number. This is the 'Campaign Number' of the recall the sticker covers. You have four, which tallies up with the number of recalls on the Mitsubishi website - Great news!:afro:

And don't forget to call them at least every two weeks.

I have found that the angrier you get when talking to them the more serious they take you!

I lost my totally lost my rag with them on monday and 40 minutes later my car was booked in!

Ah, Recall 1142 - Basically, there's some wiring in the engine bay near the thermostat housing that can chafe against it. If it shorts it will make the gearbox and/or speedo spazz out on you.

See here for more detail...

Now, if you'd applied that to learning useless facts instead of obscure details about galants, you'd have made a killing at millionaire or jeopardy!

Call me stupid and way behind you guys, but where do you check out this info? My chassis number is: EC5W-5102011

I want to check as my Mitsu dealer is saying there is one recall to be done next week, and the other due (as Beastlee points out), they know nothing about.

If I ever get my Ghostbusters ambu back on the road, I'll have to check for all these....

Well, I wouldn't panic - your recall is very easily solved - Inspect the wiring and a couple of zip-ties to hold the cables away from the thermostat housing would sort it. Shouldn't take long if you fancy some DIY!
