Word Crashed

Arghhh i've Spent all day writing documentation only to have word crash on me about 15 minutes ago! ffs.

ive got the autosave features set to 5 minutes, but..... i cant open the bloody files its been saving..

Does anyone have any tools to recover word docs?

also, ive put the ~files.TMP files to one side aswell incase theres something out there that can recover from them...

lost 5 hours work :cry:

ok.. panic over!!..

i was able to open the tmp files from the autosave location in wordpad!..

phew..

Had something similar a few months ago Barry ... spent all day working on a Word document at home and then when moving (not copying doh ...) the file over to a USB stick I lost everything. I did (eventually) manage to recover most of it though by renaming one of the .tmp files which had most if the data ... :thinking:

i tried the old renaming twick, yet it was still causing problems :( - anyhoo, its all good in the hood.. got me document and covering email sent out lastnight so i am a happy bunny :D
