Thinking of proper A/F monitoring
Looking at the Innovate LC-1 Wideband Controller with probably xd16 set up.
1 Will I need to put a bung in exhaust or can yo use the O2 sensor form the Innovate for the ECU so i could removed the standard O2 sensor.bear in mind MAP ECU is giong in next week??
2 price for above Wodjno?
remove the factory sensor,
fit the lc1 sensor, it has 2 outputs, set one to wideband for the map ecu,
and the other to simulate the factory one and wire that to the cars ecu.

Yeah, as gly says it works fine, that is how i have been set up for a while now. The narrow band output comes set up already, so you can just plug it in to get the car running immediately.
The MAP is a little more complicated, since it doesnt have a table to suit the LC-1 specifically, but you can adjust the output to suit any linear map in MAPCAL, i used the PLX lookup table, and changed the LC-1 outputs to suit. It has been covered in detail on the MAPECU forum if you need more detail.
Or you could buy a PLX one. They do work out cheeper, and are a good bit of kit. Once originaly calibrated they never need to be again.

Its in good hands. Will be (with any luck) on the dyno on friday, so we'l give you a call then.
Yep Kieren, the infamous knock link is what we were talking about. Did you ever make the purchase?
there not that expensive and a good bit of kit if you are wanting to know when things are going bang when they shouldnt...... or alternatively you could always drive with headphones on listening to det cans.....
Knock link definately looks cooler though. If you do get yourself one, then get some cat5 cable aswell and move the led's out of the box and stick them somewhere in the dash.
