On the aussie VR4 (6th generation Galant) forum there have been and currently is a topic about scattershields. I didn't know what it was (stops you losing body parts if the flywheel explodes) so then I thought: good idea!

Is this usefull for the V6 VR4 engines?

They are complusory on some drag strips for rotary engine and the like, but yeah, no one has hit that kind of power out of the V6...yet. There was one rotary i remember that threw a part out through the bonnet, and 200m over and past the main stand at the drag strip, so i can see the logic.

For our cars, you are probably still better off investing in a good quality diaper for the passengers seat:P cheaper too.
