:3d: hi guy's ive just bought an adapter+cone filter from the states = $35.00 delivery+$12.00 for part's=total $47.00 INSERT INTO post VALUES (£19.50 p&p+£6.70 for part's=total £26.12)on www.ebay.com item No2452179954 do you think i should add pipe work so it's closer to the ground or should i add a cold air feed from the front of my car to the filter? also the shop i'm getting it from are called xoxo parts has any one used them before? :3d:there website is www.Xo2racing.com but i think they are working on it as i can't get on at the mo i had to go to there shop on ebay.

I would certainly add some piping to get it away from the warm air around the engine. With the GLS you should have bags of room. I would suggest putting it under the battery in the void behind the bumper. It will stay quite clean under there and will have plenty of cold air to go at! Good luck!

Just don't mount it too low, and avoid deep puddles, to avoid hydraulicking INSERT INTO post VALUES (sp?) your engine :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

i'll wait till it come's then i'll see if i can get pipe made of polished alloy or stainless. if anyone has had a look at the part's ive orderd..what do think,is it good value?. in this country ive not seen an adaptor for under £19.99 and a similar filter for under £25.00?

I take it the kit doesnt come with an intake pipe? What about breather pipes / vacuum hoses from the current airbox etc?

rich us 4cyl guy's dont have any other breather pipe's or vacuum pipe's on the actual air box not sure if it come's with a intake pipe but at that priceINSERT INTO post VALUES (£6.70) i dought it.

Ian, has the filter turned up yet? I'm interested to see how well it performs... You can get some good 4-Cylinder Galant stuff from the US...

hi kieran it has not arrived yet i don't know how long it take's from the USA.they gave me a shipping number so that i can trace it.yeah there are a lot of goodies for our car over there, as i said this is a bit of a test for me it's the first time if bought anything from the states,all going well? i,m going to order 2 stainless back boxes ive found one shop that starts bid's from under $5 that's under £3 and they sell them for that!!!

Getting stuff from the states is in our favour at the moment as we get nearly $2 to £1
INSERT INTO post VALUES ($1.83= £1)

I'm off to the states in Feb, I wonder if i could get an exhaust in my hand luggage? ;)

HI DUNCAN i sent an e-mail asking if he has anymore cap's,in his other item's he only has a filler cap for a toyota.I'll let you know if he has anymore or not when he reply's.
i still can't believe the price!!!! £8.00+£4.00 shipping some folk want over £70. for these in this country.i just hope i aint being ripped off?

:hurrah: :hurrah: just got a phone call from my wife to say my new intake came today :smug: i can't wait till 23:00hrs to go home and :Eyecrazy: make sure it's in one peice then first thing tomorrow i'll fit it or if it's not raining when i get home i might fit it tonight. :hurrah:

ive took a few pic's and i'll take some once fitted, i had to stay on at work a bit longer so i'll fit it in the morning.the filter+adapter are very,very good quality i would recommend the company i bought it from www.XO2Racing.com can i just remind you how much i paid,$47.00 that's,£26.25 incl p&p the filter+adapter cost £6.70 yip that's right £6.70 and £19.50 for shipping.it took bang-on a week to come. :D i think their site is still under construction they also have an e-mail

:smug: ok it's on i'll have to make a bracket to hold it as it move's a bit ive put cable tie's on for now, i'll need to wait till friday to sort this.also it's not as noisy as my modded box? but it is a hell of a lot smoother on accelaration :thumbsup:
