hmmm
new tyres due soon... reducing noise is my big priority.
Currently running Falken 452 - which are ok on noise

BradC's links to a southern hemisphere surve (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8416)y looked promising - but some of the tyre names aren't available here - and user results on TyreTest (http://www.tyretest.com/index.html) and PneusOnline (http://www.pneus-online.co.uk/) don't always agree either

Does anybody have a link to a definitive tyre noise survey?

No link to a test I'm afraid Will - But from experience, Dunlop SP Sport01s are quiet and so are Goodyear Excellences - Isaac's GDI has the Excellences on and the lack of road noise is very impressive.

I think the quietest of all is the Yokohama AVS dB S2 if you can find it. After that, the AVS dB V550, then the Excellence, then the SP01s.

Can't compare to others but my Toyo Proxes (R) were far quieter than the Pireli P6000s and some cheap things we had on the SAAB. With the added performance too it's a bargain at £56/tyre standard size.

Have fitted the Toyo proxes (latest ones.....R......I think) and have nothing but praise for them. Fantastic grip in the wet and noise has always been my niggle with these cars. The Toyos I find are quieter than the GSD3s I had before........and they were a good tyre no doubt. Not a criticism, but worth noting is that with the Toyos, despite being quieter, you can possibly feel the road a little more such as joints in the tarmac. Maybe slightly firmer sidewalls.
