mmm there as a few posts regarding this topic
Most people seem to have them at around 32 - 36 psi

I have upped mine to 34 psi as I had a heavy load in the car on a long trip

Cheers

That's about what I thought, I just wondered if there was a manufactures recomendation, I thought this size was standard on a sport. Thanks for your advice, cheers.

I think there is a sticker inside the drivers door on the pillar, I will check in the morning and if there is, I will snap it and post a pic.

Both of my galants have had that pillar sticker. Neither have been equipped with that wheel/tyre combo, though.

Its no problem,

your sport should have the same sticker on the drivers door pillar - if the car was supplied with the wheels mitsubishi should have put that sticker on there, mine looks like its fitted over the top of the normal one,

if not - get your local garage to procure one for you.

Have fun.

It's not a sport, thats why it's got no sticker! It just has that wheel and tyre combo. because I know Mitsubishi put them on the sport, so I reasoned that they would have done all the research into ride comfort, handling, etc.

2.3 bar = 33.3586797 pound-force/square inch INSERT INTO post VALUES (PSI)

converted to PSI

I got told 2.2 Bar front and 2.0 bar rear (220KPa and 200KPa) , dunno wot thta is in psi coz i never use that anymore , but does that sound right?..car is a 97 V6 with sport wheel/tyre combo...And its a good job i asked coz when i checked em they varied between 1.3 and 1.7 bar all round , looks like my dealer never checked the pressures when they fitted the wheels (they came from Mitsu with tyres already attached...£500 the 4 , not bad i thought!)

That's what my book quotes Dmac.

Just a point of interest, do you notice any speedo difference since upgrading your wheels, as according to this (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html) calculator, you'll be running a slightly different tyre diameter...

Never really checked that , if thats the case then will all the sports be running with inacurate speedos as well? All i really care about is the fact that they look good and were cheap..lol..coz the original 15s were really grotty! Would the speedo be over reading or under reading then?

A mate of mine works in a tyre shop and I had 215/60/16 Brigestone Potenza's on the car when it came in the country. I just replaced them with 225/50/16 Bridgestone Grid 3's to get the speedo right.

On my old Honda I had 210/40/17's and the pressure was set to 38psi to stop the sidewalls moving for improved handling so 36psi on 45's would be about right.

That tyre size calculator is great. thanks for the link
