My VR-4 was serviced yesterday (4500 mile)

My car went in for a 4500 mile service yesterday INSERT INTO post VALUES (eventually, after being messed about by another main dealer).

Here's a list of parts needed:

Gasket,O/Drain plug 1x £0.54
Oil FilterINSERT INTO post VALUES (Cart Type) 1x £7.03
Screen Wash 1x £1.90
Shell Helix Plus 5x £34.75

Total parts: £44.22
Labour: £138.13
Total inc VAT: £214.20

Apparently the reason why the labour costs so much, is because although the parts that need to be fitted don't take long, they thoroughly check the car over.. which is apparently a 2 hour plus process.

thats twice what a 9000 mile service on the normal V6 costs......

The VR-4 is twice as good. :D

It's the labour that pushes up the costs.. :sad3: glad my AYC didn't need topping up. :rolleyes5

Thought the 4500k service was a lubrication service, therefore they do the AYC oil as well don't they. Hmm. Me confused.

My AYC pump failed within this preiod and was replaced, so it had already been done.
