That guy with the TD04's finally wants to sell it, and sounds like he wants to get it dynoed, I've asked him a question telling him to go to Torque Performance and get it dynoed, I'm very interested to find out what it makes. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=115713788&permanent=0

Also here is a 2002 Legnum http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=110644880&key=643455 I've only ever seen 2 others, one was Kenneths Manual one and there was another one on Trademe at some point.

Valmes - he has been selling the car for about 3 months now, and he has always refused to post any performance figures on it at all, until now where it looks as if he has given up and just wants it gone and of course any bit of info about power or whatever will help him sell the car.

"Fastest legnum in Nz" :)

How he came to that conclusion than?

He reckons he was doing twelves with a 'slipping clutch'!

If that's true then it could do 11's with the new clutch. that'd make it pretty darn fast for a legnum. Weather or not the fastet would still remain to be seen.

And that guy bidding the price up is a real time waster!

Of course it's not the fastest vr4 in NZ, the fastest 8G perhaps, but I doubt it has a patch on that redlineperformance 6G.

I woulden't say its the fastest 8g either, thats just an insault.

Really? It seems like it has potential, stupid filters though. Does this club actually know any 8G cars that have proof of some really decent performance like a 1/4 mile time or dyno sheet?

I can't think of anything with the potential to be faster without more modifications.

I still prefer the way mine has been modified, and mine can go higher than that by bolting on new turbos (autronic is better :D) but it is still more work.

if its the same car i think it is, the workmanship on it looks **** house!

Out of curiosity, is anyone keen to stick their hand up and suggest the "fastest" VR4 in NZ that has a known performance level?

the fastest VR-4 that I know of that has been down the strip is Rhy's car which was an auto prefacelift with the stock ecu and a whole heap of nice piping.

well the fastest vr4 would be redlines one! 9.51 1/4 mile! :p

Okay besides that one, I'm more interested in 8G ones. What did Rhys' do down the strip?

There certainly are a few earlier single vr4's pulling 10's, but He has only claimed that it is the fastest Legnum!!!

So unless someone else fronts up with a leggie with 04's or higher he probably doesn't need to produce much proof for that one! cause simple physic's tells us that it's gotta have a *&%*load more horse than anything running 03's

Weather or not it's been done to a quality standard or if it can really handle it (slipping clutch??? need's investigation) will remain to be seen, someone will have to throw an invite over to the club to the next owner, so we can keep tab's on it!

I dunno, I think that my car will be capable of 12.5 passes, it is pretty quick. I'm not trying to arm chair race or anything, I will take it to the strip at some point, but I need to really save hard for the next few months for my new car

It looks fine. Front turbo btw is mounted on a rear manifold...
