Helllllo ! ! !

As I'm new to the mighty Galant, just a silly question I need to ask.

Is my 2.5 V6 Sport, engine the same as the VR4, but without the turbo's ? ?

If so does that mean that I can buy parts for the VR4 and it will fit in mine...... will to a certain point!!

another question what's a good induction kit for the V6 sport??

Cheers

The block is the same. I don't know about the crank/pistons/rods, but I would imagine they are strnoger for the VR4. The heads are different. The ECU is different.

You can fit a VR4 engine into a V6 - it has been done, but it is not a weekend job!

Not really bolt on mods, easier to get a VR4.

Theres a LOT of work just to put a 6A13TT where a 6A13 normally lives!

Just found out about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Endeavor I wonder what turbos that 6A13TT engine had on it?

WHY OH WHY didn't mitsi develop the engine further?

Thanks all for that.

So, anyone know a good induction kit for the V6 Sport, or is it best to stick to the panel filter???

TBH you're prob as well sticking to the stock setup, perhaps a K&N panel filter is you're so inclined.

Prob the best bet to increase the power a bit would be to get an aftermarket exhaust.

I had a 2003 galant sports estate 24 valve. the engine only had 2 camshafts, 1 per bank and the valve gear was roller rocker. The VR4 is a quad cam and the fuel consumption.. I used my daughters 1.2 punto £25 to get to work that week. My legnum, VR4 £65. If you use it as a everyday car like I do then the cost can mount up (lucky work pay the fuel bill).
