Tiptronic Gearbox

hey friends, i'm looking at buying a vr-4 at the moment, and there's one example i'm looking at which i think might be an engine swap example because there don't appear to be any AYC lights or indicators under the rev counter.

the thing is, it looks like it has a 5-speed gearbox if you look carefully at one of the photos. so the thing i'd like to clarify is: do the post-facelift (1998 and onwards) non-vr-4 galants and legnums have 4 or 5 speed tiptronic gearboxes?

i haven't actually seen the car in the metal yet though.

It looks like a Type V leggie :) Ie Lsd rather than AYC and doesnt have wheel arches.

The non-turbos are all 4 speed rather than 5 speed as far as im aware.. But the more knowledged members will be able to confirm. :)

All VR-4's have 5 speed boxes, and that one is a Type V as Candee said, so it has an LSD at the back, no AYC, the boring looking dash, not the cool light up one and no wheel arch flares which are standard on the facelift Type V's

id say its a type v...it will have no ayc, no wheel arch flears and has pre facelift wheels
