I'm planning on getting a boost controller on the legnum soon to tweak the turbos a bit. The Apexi AVCR seems a good unit to go for and can be had for about £300 by the looks of it. I've been quoted £499+VAT for supply and install by a reputable evo specialist. Seems a bit steep to me, any one else had one fitted or did you DIY?
Thoughts appreciated on this one.
Cheers

if you can solder and do plumbing then it is a peice of wee to fit

Should take you around 4hrs to install

I can provide you with the base settings to give you a nice 0.9 bar without fuel cut

As John said, not too bad to fit and fairly easy to set up. The worst bit is getting through the bulkhead, after that its a doddle.

yep thats why it's about 4 hours

1 hour to install , 3hrs to get through the bulkhead (well not quite but you'll see )

/haz too!

The AVCR's are a good unit, particularly on a car like a VR4 where the boost varies signficantly over the rev range (ie drops off etc).

Getting it through the bulkhead.........../pan /pan can i just run away an hide?!

The only thing i dont like is all the self learn stuff. That i wouldnt bother with, just stick to the manual set up, make small upward steps in duty and away you go.

Run something to check for det, just to be sure.

Cheers,

Ben.

I put my original settings in a post by cashianvr4 , but since then i have dropped it back a bit due fuel cut

Bit as a starter for ten they will work , or I can give you my current ones that should be good for just under 300 (all depends on the other mods )
