It seems that the £25-£40k saloon/estate, sporting orientated, AWD sector for big cars is picking up again, with the following either available or announced (I'm sure there are others I've missed):
Alfa Romeo 156
Mazda MPS
Saab Black Turbo X
Skoda Octavia vRS
Subaru Legacy
Volkswagen Passat R36
So c'mon Mitsubishi - where's the Galant that Valmes photoshopped? (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26832) ;)

SAABs rock, or a least they used to when they were built by SAAB not GM.

Agreed. It's the one I've got my eye on for the future, not sure it offers more than the VR4 - just more modern. C'mon Mr Mitsubishi San.

You sure Skoda are doing an AWD vRS? Also it's an Alfa 159, not 156, nonetheless, i'd have the Alfa please.

Yeah the vRS already has an AWD option doesn't it?

Not as far as i'm aware, and I can't find any mention on the Skoda websh!te. Just FWD petrol turbo 200hp or FWD diesel turbo 170hp Jobbies. Skoda do do a 4x4 Octavia Estate, but that's called the Scout.

Slightly above the price bracket methinks.
