USDM do not have a 8G VR-4, and hence no 6a13TT. So one assumes the engine would have had to have been imported for the purpose of installing it into a USDM Galant.

Pre-facelift and facelift ECUs look to be compatible, as both run my Galant.

I know of couple 8G VR-4 ECUs sold locally.
~200$ (US$)

I will find out in a day or so. I've sent VR-4 ECU to Chris (Mirage Corp) in USA and can't remember how much was that... but nothing major... although it took 2-3 weeks to arrive there.
