I've heard rumours of some VR4 1/2 cuts in Australia already. Might be worth looking into as it would be allot cheaper than bringing in one from OS.

What's the best way of clearing out the autobox's 'memory' so it starts to remember how you drive, as a new owner / driver...?

Or does it adapt the existing memory it has when a new driver takes to the wheel with a different drivig style...?

Thanks

It should adapt anyway, but you can force it to start learning again by resetting it. This is done simply by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It potentially shows up any issues with the box, too - for example, mine changes gear very badly between 2nd and 3rd and also between 4th and 5th. 4th to 5th settles within a few hundred miles, but 2nd to 3rd takes ages to settle back down after an ecu reset.

My first VR4 changed well after an ecu reset, no issues at all!
