Reversing Lights staying on

Anyone out there able to help??

I have a 98 V6 24. For some reasons the reversing lights are staying on all the time - any ideas??

short on the switch on top of the g'box , disconnect the switch and check the termial's to see if they are closed ( should be open unless reverse is selected )

If its Automatic its the inhabitor switch on the gearbox

Finally found a reversing light switch from a local factor. Fitted today - all sorted - thanks for your help guys

Good news - I don't suppose you have the part number for the switch or what manufacturer it is, do you?

Yep its made by intermotor and is part no. 54084, had a different size nut than the original part but works fine.
