Help, I had a fantastic weekend just gone at Santa pod but I did experience a few technical difficulties getting to the pod and home again.

My front offside calliper seized on and I experienced a very uncomfortable ride up to the pod. I jacked my car up on the Sunday with the help from the boys at EuroSpec and switched the pads over. Unfortunately this did not fix the problem and although the ride back was better, they were still sticking on.

Talking to the boys at EuroSpec and other club members my best option would be replacing the callipers disks and hoses with VR4 parts.

If anyone has a set of front callipers, disks and hoses please let me know. I will contact Mo in the meantime.

Once again thanks to EuroSpec and all the members that helped out and made the weekend. very enjoyable and a lot less stressful.

Thanks in advance

Neil

Perfect sense – if Mo comes up with the goods then this will be the way to go – only question – what is the standard VR4 disks 294mm or 276mm?

I suppose this depends on the size of callipers or year of car - but help me please

294mm - Irrespective of year I believe.

294mm for all years and twin pot calipers at the front for all years, but the facelift ones have a different bolt spacing on where they bolt to the rest of the car.

as brad ponted out the caliper to hub bolt spacing is different, for your prefacelift v6 you will need prefacelift VR4 calipers

ive done this before,
but i didnt just do brakes, i did hubs aswell,

i went

4 stud + stock single pot with 256mm disk to
4 stud with evo 2 twin pot calipers with 276mm disks to
5 stud with pre-facelift vr4 twins with 294mm disks to
5 stud with facelift vr4 hubs/carriers/abs sensors,
then finally brembos, with 320mm disks

lots of brake upgrades on my 2.5 V6, back to facelift calipers and disks for it now thou
