im considering re locatinfg the air filter behand my front bumper, after a good few weeks of hard work i have finnally moved my battery in the boot and so far had no problems INSERT INTO post VALUES (thanks to my 0 gauge wire) need to find someone who could send a 4" pipe there for me. do any of you guys know who could bend 4" stinless pipe and if i should cut a hole to route the pipe as there is still not enough room to sqeeze it through?

ZEDY have you got a metal fabricator near you or even try a stainless exhaust maker.

You'd need to recalibrate your airflow meter though as well I think, as the volume of air would be different with a larger pipe

yup, the MAF has to go aswell, theres a few places here in manchester Mo... I talked to them already about getting a pipe done, for the exact same thing your doing.. :) while your at it, fancy just doing mine aswell? :) we could both get a pipe bent, and once my cars up and running ill move mine aswell..

give me a shout, ill find the company who i spoke to here in manchester. INSERT INTO post VALUES (the names at home)

Moving the battery to the trunk has always been something I have trying to do. Anyway you should be able to get any pipe in any thickness, diameter etc from Jcwhitney.com (http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10101&catalogId=10101&langId=-1) the only down side for you guys is shopping would hurt. I also noticed that you left the bottom support for the battery tray INSERT INTO post VALUES (circled in my attachment) I believe it comes off with 3- 17mm bolts. Wont save much in weight reduction BUT gives it a more cleaner look.

Side note where did you get that 0 gauge power cable from and where did you run it? Underneath the car or through the cockpit all the way back?

the o gauge runs throught he cockpit and it was purchased from autoleads INSERT INTO post VALUES (as i have a trade account) not cheap though, anywadys the battery tray support would get removed eventuallly and the wiring sorted out properly when ive found someone who could nmake the pipe for me.

I just found my rough drafts of the CAI I made for my US galant, I assume this is roughly the same thing your trying to do. The inner diameter was only 3" if Jcwhitney does not have it any shop that can do custom exhaust work should have it. The weight of the steel may be an issue but it did one hell of a job getting cold air.

zedy if that's what you are looking for you can buy most exhaust bend's from motor factor's or find out if ASHLEY who make sport's exhaust have a web-site as they supply many bend's for kit car's.
