Normal 20mm Front, Cusco 22mm - $325 - 130% increase
Normal 22mm Rear, Cusco 24mm - $325 - 140% increase in stability

Well if you use ocean, take 6% off the price, if you order together take 8% off - i.e. if a one off order is placed, the price is as above. If you want to use Ocean, the price is as above minus 6%. If you want to buy together and use ocean, the price is as above minus 8% =)

Right, so how many of these can we order guys? I'll get a pair, and I think Oblivion wants them too.
At the moment we have:

Myself 1x front and rear sway bars and 1x rear strut brace Type AS
Oblivion 1x front and rear sway bars

Just BTW, the price quoted here is pretty good and compares well with the landed cost of the set I got from RHD a couple of months ago.

Mine were a little cheaper but the Yen has dropped since then and that could well explain some of the difference in price.

Go get them guys........it's good quality kit /rally

Yip Im keen for a pair of front and rear cusco sway bars! They'll fit my Galant EC5A right?
bradc I think this is what you might be after (me too) , it says for front and rear. Weird though because its says it will fit EC5A 96-98, I have a '00 model but surely it cant be that different? https://www.rhdjapan.com/home/products/product_detail.php?int_product_id=851

No, thats the lower arm bar, I already have one of those. What I'm after is a rear strut brace that goes on top of the rear suspension tops

Oblivion
11-10-2007, 08:51 AM
Ohhh haha I read "under strut brace" as in under the car and thought thats what you meant..... You could have bought my rear strut brace but I've just sold it to Kenneth, maybe you should race him for it!

Which type you got Brad, type I or type II?

And do you have any ground clearance issues with things like driveways, speed humps etc? I remember Kieran had one fitted in the past and got it caught on a speed hump and was lucky it didn't catch too hard otherwise it could have really caused some major suspension damage, not to mention alignment issues /pan /Grrr He took it off after that I think.

Also, once one of these is fitted, do all the normal undertray pieces still fit OK?

Cheers

It is the big one that mounts in 4 places. I would be able to tell you about ground clearance, but it isn't on my car yet!

I also don't have any undertray on the car at all, I might steal it from the blue car!

Mac.
13-10-2007, 03:10 AM
Right so who is confirmed for what? =]

bradc
13-10-2007, 03:53 AM

Me too.....

Let me know about how we get the money to you.

I'm quite happy with the 'slow boat" option as well, especially if that makes it cheaper still.

Brad, O, what shipping are you leaning towards?

bradc
26-10-2007, 09:03 PM

Mac.
26-10-2007, 10:46 PM
Oblivion?

Oblivion
27-10-2007, 06:03 AM
Slow boat is all good, do you have an approximate time frame?

Mac.
27-10-2007, 10:12 PM
They take about 6 weeks from Japan regardless of which boat / port / company is used. Some say a 28day turn around but in our experience it's never ever been less than 30!

After buying Oblivion's rear strut brace (do you know if it was a OS or AS? I cant be bothered looking :P) It does seem to tighten up the rear end of the Legnum.

I have always found that the back seems to feel... soft? hard to describe really, just a bit like the tyres are a touch loose or the tyre pressure a little low.

I haven't taken it out on the windy roads yet, but around roundabouts etc it seems to feel more positive.

Mac.
28-10-2007, 12:47 AM
That's the problem with a Box Kenneth, very easy to transfer forces to opposite / perpendicular walls =]

Slow shipping - take 7% off the price of each item.

I paid for these in full over 15 weeks ago (30 Oct 07), now i know the boat got held up but this is getting stupid, anyone else heard any different?/Grrr

I really just want to get on with it.

They've been here over a week, Mainfreight won't release the whole container until they get the correct paper work. They have it ALL (Paper work) so I don't know what else to give 'em!

Furthermore, the parts were ordered at the end of the sales / Groupbuys, not necessarily when people paid. The container itself is 2 weeks behind schedule when it landed, the extra delay now is indeed a slap in the face and I am not quite managing to hold my nerve with Mainfreight..

Cheers Michael, i didnt mean to come off too strong, i dealt with mainfreight at my old job so yeah, i just wanted an update really. Im frustrated that my car is in bits (for other reasons) and iv got nothing to do, it would have been good to have something to fill in an afternoon..

Could you let us know when you see them and they are on the way please?

Mac.
13-02-2008, 07:57 AM
Not at all. It's our job to get them to you even if we are hamstrung in the process! It's perhaps not the smartest time for us to be organising containers over Christmas and the New Year! Technically the container was in Llytelton (spelling?) over a week ago, it's so close yet so far away! Hopefully Mainfreight can straighten it out tomorrow and we can get everything rolling!

Yay good to see they're finally almost here, I cant wait to get my sway bars on, perhaps next time I'll go with the air freight :P

Mac.

Latest, greatest update, paper work error from Mainfreight to Customs, Customs will now do a full container inspection on Tuesday. We don't get till Wednesday at the earliest =[ Super!
