is it an NZ New with 2wd? Is it an auto or manual?

It can be done, but it isn't a fit straight in job.

A couple of people have done it. Search on here and you may find some info, although I think the juciest bits may be in the members area.

It can be done!!
BUT - it ain't no straight swap. There does appear to be another one around but don't know which route he used as I can think of two ways of doing it. The way I chose has proved ok and has been running couple of years now and the full write up is in members area. But a couple of things to consider are
Complete re wire of engine loom and new ecu
Clutch upgrade (auto box not strong enough from V6 FWD)
Exhuast down pipes and rear manifold
and numerous other mods and bits which are just not the same.
You may be able to alleviate some of these by swapping the front sub frame, but this then raises other issues such as mounting points steering rack etc.
As I said, can be done, but it costs and it's not easy. May be worth just considering a VR4 now that prices are not so high. If you were considering making your FWD into AWD then no. The floor pans are different to accomodate the transfer box etc.

It should fit ... you need the 6a13tt ECU also...I replaced the 4g63 with the 6A13tt. I used the FWD gear box.

Wnmwnwm The Vee is the legend who did this V6 to Vr2 conversion so everything he has stated above is 100% from experience

Thats the same as andy then! Basically you need to get to know andy very very well in order to complete the project!

It is easiest to just get a new engine. The blocks are the same, but the pistons, rods, heads etc are all different. There is always 3 or 4 engines on trademe for $800-$1500 or thereabouts, just make sure you get one with as much stuff as possible, and ideally get the loom and ecu as well.

i looked into supercharging, and a company makes a supercharging kit in america using proper vortech superchargers which are just a straight bolt on kit, would have to go through a fueling upgrade and probably a piggy back ecu.
but not sure if it was decided not to be worth supercharging, you could have either a 10bhp increase to 100bhp,
heres the place

Just replace the engine & the Ecu. it will fit on your FWD gearbox. If your gear box auto. Then butter to go for manual. I am not sure that the Auto box can handle the new power.

The write up is in the members section , this costs £20 per year to join well worth it

Yeah, as NJ says, it is all in members section for all to read. Would point out though, it's not a turbo conversion as such, it's a complete engine swap. Have discussed a turbo conversion recently in the newbies area and the thread is entitled something like "what mods can I do to a galant" Maybe worth reading, but I fear a head swap is going to cost a lot more believe it or not than just swapping the engine.
