my sard FPR arrived today from RHDJapan,

just a questions about installing it/putting it together...

do i need any sealant when screwing all the fittings together?
plumers tape? teflon tape? what ever you all it?

uploaded/1576/1192422055.jpg

i have to buy a few more fittings so i can mount the FPR directly to the rail.
its smaller than it looks on the PC,

I had to use PTFE tape to seal mine as it did leak around the fittings when first installed

I have mine over near the traction control grey cylinder as my other one seemed to get very warm when mounted on the bulkhead above the turbo

Rail mount would be great but if you fit a gauge there will be even less room. Do you think there is any chance of squeesing it in there. Or would you fit a sender for an electronic gauge

Gly - What fittings do you have for the sard FPR? What size are they?

only ones i got are the rail adaptor, and the 8mm hose tails that came woth the fpr,
i beleive all the threads are 1/8NPT,

ill get the rest of the fittings ill need from a local engineering shop

Okay - Let us know what you need - I have one of these and haven't fitted it as I don't know what I need and don't need... I'm sure an under-bonnet petrol sprinkler system won't do much for my performance either.....:speechles

will do,

can anyone tell me do i use the original vaccum feed pipe?

(had a quick look this moring and it comes via a solenoid or something down by the factory boost solenoid?)

or do i make a new one direct from the intake plenum??

Here you go Q this is what your looking for:
http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22444
Also Carsten did a write up on OZVR4 here
http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743
My FPR is mounted in roughly the same place as Carsten's

Also if your doing thing mod do you have a uprated fuel pump or planing on getting one?

If so there is a good write up in the Articles section on installing that too, and a write up on how to hot wire it!

Hope that helps dude :)

has anyone who has fitted a fpr had problems when starting. Since putting mine in my car now takes ages to bleed up the fuel and start

When I had an unbranded fpr this happened, Fitting a sard and that stopped it

Had the same problem with a cheap FPR. Tested it by removing the return pipe when engine was off and found out that it was leaking
