aye, but im wondering how much i should pay for second hand bwembos, with front, rear calipers and discs - much like the second link you posted :|

I haven't looked on the MLR, but I reckon £500 would be a suitable budget for whats in the second link above, as long as all of the seals are ok.

rear calipers on ebay £75 each, seen fronts go for around £300 for a pair of front calipers and evo standard discs.
There was a deal on a set up on the MLR from PF , a pair of front discs, performance friction, and front PF pads, for about £760 (people seemed to think this was a good price!!!?)

Surely you don't mean $1200 for new Brembo calipers and rotors as parts from Mitzi parts department? That seems insanely cheap /pan

Or is that for second-hand parts through Mitzi NZ? Even then that seems pretty cheap as they come and go on TradeMe for between $1000 to $1800 for good condition full sets, front and rear, calipers and rotors.

last time i heard it was around 500$ per front caliper from kempys

around 2500$ for the full set with pads and disks!

genuwine front brembo pads alone from mitsi are are around $750 fitted

From mitsi the full set is about $4500.

I got mine for $900, and that was front and rear calipers+pads+disks

That was a bargain brad!

I was talking to the owner of a jap import spares place a few weeks back and she said that she sold her evo 9 brembos that had never been fitted, pads, discs and lines for $2500 and she lost money on them.

Two years ago I paid just under £500 for four nearly new calipers, discs and pagid blue pads.

I don't think the prices have changed much. Just calipers can be got for under £300 for all four if you are willing to wait.

hey BraindG got any further with the upgrade?

also just wondering if the facelift ABS senders have the same plug as the Prefacelift ones? is it as easy as just plugging them in or do you have to modify them?

Gly

yes its the same plug.

i thought it was just the carrier you had to change, why do you have to change the hub as well, is it the mounting holes on the hub to carrier attachment.
I know about the caliper mounting bolt being different on pre and post facelift but i wasn't aware of any other miss match.
i am thinking of doing a brake upgrade and i was after some first hand info on the problems/complications of the switch.
I have got to replace my radiator first thought, that's this weekend taken up.

The only thing apart from the hub carriers is the ABS sensors, AFAIK.

See:

whats the exact sizes of disks on a pre-facelift Legnum front and rear. seems a bit confusing raking through all previous posts containing disk sizes references.

Am waiting on a price of a full kit.

Let the bidding wars begin , hehe. I suppose the downpipes could wait for a nice set of brakes....

There are so many things I want to do....

I wasn't thinking of buying them myself - I just wanted to know the price. And who said I intended to KEEP Ariadne stock?................. ;)

In that case I'm taking a serious interest in the Brembos. Mo, please can you let me know what you're looking for for the complete set. I'd phone but it ain't cheap from Germany to UK mobiles.

I can arrange for family to collect them if I get them from you.

Cheers

It depends on what you are looking for. This thread is good for technical pointers, but is not the place to try buying stuff.

If you are in Australia, then how about trying WWW.OZVR4.COM ?

do you have a facelift or a prefacelift?

I wouldn't have thought they would be an upgrade anyway, didn't the magna's just come with 2 pots?
