I've seen 20" wheels on a Galant, but the ride was terrible and because they are so damned heavy, the car was noticably slower as well - and it was a VR-4, not a non-turbo like yours.

Basically with wheels that large, your car is going to be very slow, and handle terribly. Not a good idea!

if you stick with something like 17" or 18" wheels you will have the best of both worlds, and wheels that are 7" or 8" wide and in the 35-40mm offset range are normally the best option.
