If you're looking for a 'normal' legnum VR4, then log off now..... this is far from ordinary.

I have owned the car since 2003 & since then I have transformed what was once a fast, luxurious, comfortable load lugger into something far more focused.

If you dont know much about VR4's, you can find all the information you need at www.clubvr4.com

My car came from Japan with the standard 260bhp. over the past few years I've upped that to over 500 bhp (with the help of a touch of nos!). It has been rolling road tested @ 333 bhp.

In October 2005 it won best in class at Japshow, recording a time of 12.4's @ 109 mph over the standing quarter mile, beating all the Evo's on the day. it also recorded a 0-60 time of 3.5 secs. It has featured in almost all of the Jap mags at some point.

The car isn't perfect and does need some attention, unfortunately I no longer have the time or enthusiasm required. It's curreently stored in a safe place, taxed, tested & insured.

Modifications:

Dastec unichip
Twin straight through exhaust with decat pipe
Flamer kit
Custom bonnet
LED headlights
18" alloys (in need of repair) with Falken tyres
turbosmart electronic boost controller
MMCS system (built in touch screen TV, sat nav & climate controls)
Transmission cooler
Cold air induction kit
Strut braces front & rear
Brembo 4 pot brakes
Ralliart coilovers
Turbosmart dump valve
and the list goes on

This car has been driven on various trackdays and has always been given time to warm up and cool down, along with regular servicing and oil changes.

The alloys are in need of repair or replacement and the exhaust smokes on cold start-up due to a worn turbo seal. I have sourced some replacement turbo's through the clubvr4 mentioned above and will include them in the sale. The private plate is not included in the sale, but if your interested make me an offer.

Please feel free to contact me if you require any more information. Other www.clubvr4.com members have driven this car, & have been in absolute awe of it. It is totally road legal, and is equally at home on the road or track as you see fit.

The usual ebay caveat appiles, you bid to buy, no tyre kickers, boy racers, test pilots etc.

It's kinda got stuck below my reserve ?? 5 bids in the 1st few hours .... now nothing ?
Should I drop the reserve price [ I dont want to give the car away] or stick it out ?

I would leave your reserve where it is Derek . It might let some of the potential buyers thaink your a desperate to sell and going by the auction sales in Japan values may be on the way up again

i didnt realise that they messaged to encourage that peeps dropped the reserve!!

Sweat it out, all the action occurs within the last hour ... even the last 5 mins!!

If someone wants it, they will know how much it is worth, and bid accordingly ... with 28.3547 seconds to go!!!!!
As long as your reserve is realistic, you should attract genuine bidders!!

Good luck!

some good news i'v just seen on OZVR-4.COM for the value of our cars.

Hi guys,

For those of you still looking for cars this week, just thought I'd fill you in on a couple of sale prices.

There was a black grade 4 Legnum, pre-facelift with 70,000km or so. My buyer checked it and said it was pretty average (he suggested someone had lopped a 1 off the odometer), so we left it. If it had been ok, I would've put probably 500,000 yen on it - it sold for over 800,000 yen! To put that in perspective, that's the same money I paid for a grade 4 2000 model Legnum, manual with Recaros and genuine kms a month or two back...

Then there was a 2001 auto Type S Galant that I had a go at this week - I thought I was having a good crack at it with 700,000 (bearing in mind, that 2002 Legnum I had on my list was the same money). It made over 1 million yen car cost!

Might have to sit tight or start upping our budgets - it's madness at the moment.

Hope it goes for more than your reserve as well . At least you haven't had somebody bid above the reserve as they have on ghanda golf to find out what the reserve is and then withdraw the bid. Bidders like that should be banned from ebay

SGHOM
13-11-2007, 12:26 PM
It didn't sell. /Grrr so..... should I relist it straight away? [ it's free ]

Nutter_John

leave until this evening , that way the end time of the next auction will be in the evening when people are not at work - not everyone has access at work so you could have missed out on a last minute bid

WildCards
13-11-2007, 12:56 PM
Don't bother with a reserve, either start the auction at what you want, or just under or get a mate to bid up to a set figure which you'd let it go for, kind of a secret reserve.

AncientOfMu
13-11-2007, 01:18 PM
Im glad it didnt go for that price . If the price of these drops much lower it will make more sense to break for parts.

Stick to your guns Derek :)
