Has anyone changed the suspension bushes, where is good to buy them, and are there kits?, also is there a polybush option?, I remember a thread somewhere, but can't remember the conclusion, cheers

My suspension seems to be rattling like mad and I suspect the bushings are worn (I've no idea what else it could be as the shocks were recently replaced and are good - only other thing is the bushings between the arms that could rattle)...are those polybush things any good and are they suitable?

Also, is that part number for the replacement bushings or something else?

Cheers,

Richard.

Still trying to work on this one myself, Louis. Not bought the Super Pro ones.

I still think the 2G Mitsubishi Eclipse stuff will fit, but I want to try it first. Problem has always been though that I don't want to go and dismantle my own suspension, press/burn out the original bushings and then find out that I've got it wrong!

However, I may have a spare set of front and rear suspension arms in the near future... If it comes off I'll order a set of Eclipse bushes - If they don't fit at least I won't have knackered my own car in finding out!:scholar:

OK. After a bit of a check around, and some chatting with Mike from Camskill, and a bit of part number searching and comparison, Mike from Camskill has been able to supply me with two upper arms (wishbones), with bushes and balljoints. The good bit about these replacement parts is, the balljoints are held in by a large circlip, (they are pressed in, but not with a huge hydraulic press). So the next time the upper ball joint goes, it is only the balljoint that will need replaced.
I will attach some photos below (hopefully). The parts are identical, and a perfect fit, I have had them on for a few days now, all good.
Mike is getting more in, and they will be available on the Camskill website for £79 each, inc vat.
The mitsubishi cost was £177 plus vat. so definitely a better deal

I have stuck this info in another thread, so people know the parts are available.
