On Sunday, I will mostly be going to collect this (http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/274177.htm).

A bit of a 'mini-project' as I have December/January off - Fancy a RWD toy and managed to get it for £500!

I apologise in advance for buying a Bee Em

Looks like a lovely tidy car for its age... and what a classic!

Yoink, noice mota, i've been pouring over e28 and e34's for a few weeks now wondering whether I can dip my tow back into the horrendous fuel consumption side of motoring or not. Good buy, but pleeease ditch the AC ****ter badges.

Exactly my thoughts - I pick it up Sunday. Has a few minor irritations (rear armrest missing, gear-stick gaiter absent and a small scrape on nearside front arch. Apart from that it's in excellent condition.

but pleeease ditch the AC ****ter badgesAh yes! Another of those 'minor irritations'!

I went for a ride in an E34 540i 6 speed manual and it was a lovely car.

Doesn't beat my BMW though!

Seems like a good price, if it remains mechanically fit.

I had an M5 of that vintage - I like the BMW Staight Six engine very much ( had 5 of them), much better than the 4 cylinder ones.

Bummer!

Turned out, the V5 had gone AWOL and the MOT cert showed it as a 530 (there was a 535 lump in there).

Decided I didn't want the hassle so still on the lookout for something 'different'

Shame... but a wise move!
