Anyone knows the Gates / Cross & Morse / Transdev / (or equivalent) part number for a timing belt – I can order them direct and cut Mitsy out if I can find the part number. If not I can have them custom built to suit, but I need a part number or designation. I can not find it on our site.

Slim it looks like you just used the wrong name.

Transmission = gear box
Cam belt = is on the engine.

If you are changing the cam belt i recommend to change as a min

1 Cam belt.
1 Power steering belt.
1 Alternator belt.
1 Tensioner pulley.

1 Water pump if not replaced recently.

And pos the following.

Xtreme have told me I'm due for another cam belt change shortly.
They tell me it will be £900 /help
Apparently it's mostly labour taking all day and possibly into the next.

Methinks they're taking the widdle!! It took Richy working by himself (Well, I removed the turbo piping!!) about 4 hours tops to do mine, including all new tensioners and such, water pump, lunch and tea breaks!

Now, if you're flying blind I can well imagine it's a nightmare. But Xtreme don't have that excuse - they're used to seeing VR-4s.

I was charged 8 hours for replacement of everything on the ST-R, but that was at 12 pounds an hour, so I didn't really care.
