Sorry to go over old stuff, but I wanted to be 100% sure that brakes & pads for the Evo IV will fit pre-facelift legums ok. The fron discs show as 294x24x46 which seems to be ok. I want to be absolutely sure before parting with the ££s!
Thanks folks.

For front brakes, I will guarantee that standard Evo 4 discs and pads fit all standard VR4's.
I am not so sure about the back...

I think that the bolt spacing in the e4 is the same as the facelift...

Just an update if anyone is interested. I ordered a set of Tarox G88's, but they are no longer available :speechles
So the hunt continues. What is a decent option to go for? Its a prefacelift so Brembos are out of the question and I'm not looking for a big brake upgrade, just decent discs that wont fade under heavy load.
Thanks

A few years ago everyone swore by National 8 groove. They don't seem to be available any more, though?

Rossini Discs, sold by Carparts Direct have filled the hole that National left - In fact I have a strong (though unconfirmed) suspicion, based upon locality and ease of part number cross reference, that Rossini purchase the 'blank' discs from National Anyway.
If you order a set of Standard Rossinis you get the 'Signature' discs, which have 3 grooves, 3 drilling sweeps and the Rossini wear indicator logo. However, after overheating and cracking a set on track, I ordered a set of custom ones which were grooved only. You loose the wear indicator, but that's a small price to pay. You can choose between 8, 16 and 40(?) grooves as I recall.
If you give Martin @ Fittapart a call (01623 658041), he'll be happy to discuss - and he's used to dealing with VR-4s.:scholar:

I got my disks from here:
www.nitrac.co.uk
Am going to fit them at the weekend. They look really nice though.
I have warped a set of Rossinis so am not really happy with them after 1 year.
I am also fitting carbotech pads. All in all the disks and pads were approx 310 With XP8 fast road/race pads.

Warped them, or have you just got pad imprints on there? Might be worth getting 'em skimmed?
