It's time for a phone upgrade, so I'm getting the Nokia N95. :afro:

The service from my current provider is ok, & the price plan suits me. but.............. T mobile want £270 to upgrade !! /Grrr Orange, 02, & vodaphone are free upgrades.

Looks like a move over to 02 then.

O2 are crap - I wouldn't go back to them. Very happy with vodafone so far, but they're expensive.

Never had the problem with O2 apart from when my phone bill for a month went over £400 and had to phone them to up the limit

Yep been with O2 for a few years and never had any issues. In fact there are many times when I get a decent signal and people on Orange etc can't in our office

only 02 & orange work properly in my area. I have to sit in the front bay window to use my T mobile ! /Grrr and seeing as Maggie is on 02, I may as well swap.
Just going to check out virgin first. I have their phone, TV & t'interweb package, might add mobile if the price is right

Hmmm  cant really go with virgin. It's only £10 more per month [ so cheaper than anyone else ] but they only send a sim to use in existing phone. :inquisiti so I wont be able to upgrade. If I upgrade & swap to 02, then I'm committed to an 18 month contract @ £30 p/m.

my current 'flex plan' with T mobile is £150 per month combined. 02's deal is 400 mins & 500 texts. which is about right for me. virgins deal is 300/300

I've been with T-Mobile for over 10 years, I had a recent upgrade and they wouldn't give me the upgrade I wanted.
I happened to be in carphone warehouse, and the guy that worked there called them up for me said I was gonna change service providers unless they gave the upgrade, I got the phone I wanted and extra 100 texts a month.!
Well worth kicking up a stink and threatening to move.

Here's a tip from when I upgraded my phone for the first time in 7 years in the summer and left Orange after 11 years for Vodafone.

Once you've sussed out the phone and monthly package / spend you want, start your negotiating at the end of the month - usually the last 3 or 4 days of the month. This is because salespeople have their targets to meet - so will be more willing to be generous with you then rather than the start of the month.

Keep in mind that whichever network you go with, their online sales teams, phoneline sales teams and the shops run separate sales targets, so you get better deals running shop to shop and sales team to sales team.

If you go with Vodafone, the telephone sales teams have £100 to play with, with you, if you are a nw customer. So if your phone is free, then negotiate a £xx monthly discount over your 12 / 18 month term, to the max value of £100.

I use 02 as does my girlfriend and off peak calls between o2 mobiles are only 2p a minute I think, which works out great for me. Never had any problems, apart from a load of calls from O2/Carphone warehouse call centres when renewal time is coming up.

I called T mobile today to get a pac code so I can change over to 02. they asked my why I wanted to leave them. well..... the obvious reason is the cr@p reception & the £270 they want for me to upgrade ! /pan

Any way, to cut a long story short, I staying with T mobile. :iloveyou: with a bit of persuasive negotiating, I've got........... an nokia N95 coming tomorrow morning... free. the £5.99 delivery charge has been waived. the 'flex 35' contract is now £5 reduced. the calls/texts have been upped to 900 mins/1800 texts. the internet package is included......free, normally £7.50 :afro:

Might be worth a call to your service provider & threaten to leave them !!
