/help

The oven's blown on our cooker and the replacement part (fan/Transformer/thermostat assembly) costs a 3 figure sum. /help

I don't suppose anyone has a 50cm wide electric cooker they're slinging out or have sat in the garage?!:inquisiti

Thanks Paul, but our Kitchen is electrickery only.

Fortunately, the grill and the hob is still working, so we can still cook, but this christmas will be the first one with the family coming over to us. The thought of cooking christmas Lunch on a wounded cooker does not appeal!:inquisiti /Grrr

Mine blew a few years ago so promptly pulled it apart "well if it's broke what harm can i do /lol "

But is that with you suppling parts
As mine went in a sim way a few years ago genuine parts was a about £150+
but a local hover cooker spares place did one for £35 I just took in the old bit and got him to confirm part numbers i had

If all else fails Darling and you are really struggling, you can borrow our microwave/convection oven. It roasts like any other oven up to about a 10lb turkey( I wouldn't like to put anything bigger in it)

Just an idea......

Ta - that'd be an idea. As for the oven, I suggested throwing food in the back of the golf and then setting it on fire - Food cooked and one of VW's more ghastly products taken care of in one go!:afro:
