Hi guys,
i have not done any research on this it just came to me as a flash of insparation, or stupidity. you tell me. I was reading the galant manual today and thought of this.
the PCV valve is blocked or not working correctly, the breather hose is blocked from the rocker covers to the air inlet pipe.
so no or little pressure escapes from the rocker cover. does this stop oil flow to the lash adjuster (tappits) and tic tic tic occurs. as the pressure in the rocker cover is eough to overcome the oil pressure from the oil pump. Maybe, maybe not?
or if the PCV vale is operating corectly the tic, tic ,tic is present until the PCV valve open when the engine is reved as the valve remains closed until the engine is off idle to maintain the smooth running of engine at idle.
or it may not have anything to do with it at all?
