noisey steering

Can anyone give me some advice? when i put my steering on full lock i get aloud screeching and whinning noise also the steering wheel starts to judder can anyone HELP.............. :sad3:

I'm pretty sure thats normal Steve unless its really noisey
As you making the pump work harder

In my Mits Manual its also says not to leave the steering on full lock when parked as when you start the engine it causes stress on the pump and can damage it

You should hear a slight 'hiss' just before and on full lock.

If it makes a squealing sound then all you have to do it tighten the power steering belt, takes minutes, just move the tension arm.

The manual suggests you dont hold it on full lock for too long!!!!! I guess its just the pump running on overtime!
