after kierans little story, much brand, some finely cut fried potatoe treats, and a few cigars, i got thinking

.....it hurt.

for £104 each, we could rent this for a weekend, for 12 people(6 bedrooms)
http://www.uniquehomestays.co.uk/unique/details.asp?id=546&country=6&start=1
for 3 nights 14 people at £176 each
http://www.uniquehomestays.co.uk/unique/details.asp?id=476&country=6&start=1
or 2 nights £152 for 22 people
http://www.uniquehomestays.co.uk/unique/details.asp?id=466&country=6&start=1

we should obviously ring in advance and find out, what the garage doors are like, how much they would cost to replace, how strong they are, and wether the club insurance would cover it. but it should be good other than that/pan /pan /pan

now wheres that brandy.......

Heh! Problem is sleeping rooms - there may be room for 20+ people, but by the time you factor in partners, it starts to get a but cosy!

Mind you, you might be onto something - a day event at a National Trust type place could provide a stunning backdrop for some good car pictures.:afro:

I'll ring ahead and check the price includes a gardener to rake the gravel path prior to our arrival...

I can hear the crunch of fine pebbles already under rubber!

yes but how much the fine brandy and could we take each other seriously enough sat around in smoking jackets....oh and then theres the smoking ban too..so that image is slightly ruined :pimp2: :pimp2: :pimp2: :pimp2: :pimp2: :pimp2:

Good idea and like said am sure a stately home would prove a car photographers dream!

I'm not too sure where this post originated, but if you want a good mansion as a backdrop for the car, you could try Waddesdon Manor nr Aylesbury. It belongs to Lord Rothschild (who owns most of Buckinghamshire) and is a National Trust property.

The session could be called 'Best of the Threads'! /pan

Mr. Mann, what say you? Reckon this kinda thing would be viable?

Could even have a ClubVR-4 Murder Mystery weekend at a manor somewhere - It was Kieran, in the Garage, with the polisher.......................

How about Ardverikie, where they filmed Monarch of the Glen? Loads of space for driving and fine car shots with stunning scenery...only problem is location - it's half way between Dalwhinnie and Fort William, but they do farmhouses that sleep up to 16 folk for dead cheap (well dead cheap for a week between 16!)...

pitslayer

i think this could be a really good idea to do

Nick Mann

We have talked about a murder/mystery weekend before. I personally like the idea, but they are never as cheap as people want them to be!

Mixing it with nice photos of a posh house/rolling scenery could make it even more appealing. Leave it with me and I'll start a new thread for discussion.

pitslayer

them stick them through the garage doors after. A line of galants through each garage door and oil everywhere then he can clean them after
