Okay here goes , wont be as detailed as ians descriptions tho!

1 1974 Mini 1000 , mot failure restored by me during my YTS at a garage...cool 1st car , leaked water when it rained...
2 1978 VW Polo 900cc 'N' model (base) techically my dads car but i stole it off him at every opertunity!...bright yellow...good little car.
3 1974 VW Beetle 1303 'campaign edition' , resprayed black , every chrome dress up trim part fitted that i could get , wolfie slot mags and the beach boys greatest hits...magic!
4 1989 Escort 1100 'bonus'...Black again...fitted with brand new RS turbo wheels and an RS front spoiler , this was my 1st ever new car...a good pose but sloooooowwww!
5 1983 Capri 2.0S , Diamond White , red stripe Xr31 style seats not the recaro buckets with fishnet headrests unfortunately , but was nice and fast...to me anyway!..fast enough to get me banned 4 a year ....
6 1969 VW Beetle 1300 , bright orange , rotten , only bought coz of the need for cheap insurance when i got my licence back...
7 1973 VW Beetle 1600 'GT'...apple green , quickshift box , 55 throbbing bhp of twin port flat four power....lovely car.
8 1986 Capri 1600 Laser , Paris blue , K+N filter , Janspeed manifold and system..the capri bug was back!
9 1986 Capri 2.8i Special , Diamond White again , totaly standard right down to the radio...entered a few shows with this as a member of capri club scotland.
10 1991 Galant 2.0i , my 1st mitsubishi , burgundy met , 5 door liftback with diamond option pack , great car but not too fast...
11 1993 Lancer 1.8 GTi-16V 5 door , bright red , superchip , compomotive MO wheels , PI lowering springs , Superb!
12 1986 Porsche 944 Lux , Red , 17 inch wheels , a dissapointment , not as good as a 2.8i Capri...
13 1988 Capri 280 'Brooklands'...last of the line Capri , full leather Recaro interior , 15 inch wheels , janspeed manifolds and system , k+n panel filter , slightly lowered...a truly wonderful car , if im honest i wish id never sold this one , theres less than 300 of the 1038 produced still on the roads....
14 1999 Skoda Octavia 1.8T Slxi hatch , 150 bhp , full leather with heated seats , when 1st built the faster road car Skoda had ever made...quite good...
15 2001 Skoda Octavia 1.8T 'vRS' hatch , 180 bhp , silver (as was the previous 'skud') , fast , good looking , my second new car....payments crippled me after 2 yrs so it had to go...still miss it a bit...
16 1995 Lancer 1.6-16V 'Mirage' 5 door , dark blue , bought as a cheap run around when money was tight , looked boring but drove really well , good equipment with 4 leccy windows , leccy heated mirrors and leccy sunroof with alarm and RCL...by the time i had finished with it , it had a lovely shine on it...
17 1997 Galant V6-24V Auto , my current car , actually started out as a courtesy car when the lancers clutch started to slip , by the time the parts came in , i didnt want to give the Galant back , so i bought it! Great stereo , comfy seats (wish it had leather tho) brill engine note , slightly thirsty but a great looker , and will be better when its a fake sport!

and thats me up to date...PHEW! :-D

There's a similar discussion here, but since the downtime, it's now blighted with the "INSERT INTO post VALUES" everywhere...

http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=6918#post6918

Here's my (tidied up) list anyway:

First car(1998): 1985 Mk3 Ford Escort 1.3 Lawnmower:sleep:
-Grandad's old car. Still got it - It's now a restoration project, that mostly involves looking at it, thinking "*£*&$£ing hell it's rusty!" and then leaving it for another few months....

Second car (1999): 1995 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting (The Bug):devil5:
Loved it! Nimble and enough go to have a laugh!
It fell apart on an houly basis, but easy enough to fix. I would NOT however own another Fiat! Dealerships are terrible!

Third car(2002): 1996 Honda Accord Coupe 2.0iLS (The Honda)
Big, thirsty, rare(ish)... After the Fiat, we loved it! Liked it's looks, comfort, etc. Sold it far too soon and regretted the descision ever since - got scared by 27mpg and group 15 insurance!! Wasn't thinking straight, but hey ho - I'd have never got the Galant if I hadn't sold this!

Fourth Car(2003): 2000 Rover 25 Turbo Disease-l:veryangry :wall: :furious3: (The Pig, the sodding Rover, Smokey and the Bandit, the tractor, plus a busload of other rude names).
A silly mistake. OK, it *was* cheap to run. And quite torquey. But that was it. Truly dreadful.:gun2:Kept it about 2 months:D

Fifth Car(2003 and a bit): 2000 Mitsubishi Galant 2.0 GLS :adore: (haven't thought of a name yet!)
Love it. Costs are more sensible than the Honda (and they weren't bad, to be honest); dealerships are better, and it's the best car I've ever had. Love it to pieces. Swift, comfortable, quiet, Mondeo-man scaring looks.

So here we go;

First car got when I joined my current company, didn't drive before that - was a great fan of the train, so they've been as follows.

'97 Mondeo 1.8TD LX Estate.
Panther black metallic, did 130K in this car in three years, pranged it three times (last one the day before it went back to the leasing company  ) Was such a good car, looked after me and was _so_ reliable.

Then came the next rep-mobile

'00 Mondeo 1.8TD LX Estate.
Dark blue metallic (forget the name) did 70K in this car before I sent it back. This was a dog. Not as powerful as it's predecessor despite being the same model, totally uninspiring - never actually pranged it but it scared the sh1t out of me a few times at roundabouts. Required written notice to pass anything out on the motorway. Hated it (can you tell :-D ) gave it back after 18 months.

Then I bought the first galant, just wanted something cheap - as many toys as possible to put a load of mileage on.

'98 Galant 2.5V6 Elegance
Red, Beige Leather, Auto. Loved it. Took the money to buy the next when some pratt rear ended it. Had a new 'box and a lot of money spent on servicing while I had it, still didn't put me off.

Then a brief dalliance with a Jeep, which we won't mention here.

'00 Galant V6 Sport Estate.
Silver, current car. Seems more willing to rev than the last, and despite having to change my own gears love the V6 noise when booting it in 2nd and 3rd.

Here endeth the lesson...

Oooh, I've got a feeling this could be embarassing!!

B reg Peugot 205 1.0 (erm...it was cheap. I blew it up, 4 pistons to begin with that went down to 2 after a particularly long trip on the M1)
F reg Fiat Tipo 1.4 (oh God why? Terrible, terrible car with an electric dash straight out of knight rider. Had plastic invalid cars overtaking me on uphill stretches)
L reg Rover 220 GTi (suprisingly good and quick. Gearbox wasn't great above 5,500 revs but good engine. Economical too. Wrote it off avoiding wildlife)
H reg Vauxhall Nova 1.6 GTE (Non-Kev'ed model. A rapid car but with shocking build quality. The engine was completely bullet proof and would probably have outsurvived the cockroachs in a nuclear war, but the bodywork......hmmm!!)
L reg Nissan Primera 2.0 SGX (Suprisingly good car again. I bought it cause it was cheap. It had done 120,000 miles when I got it but drove like it had done half that. Solid engine but looked pretty dull)
W reg Galant 2.5 V6 Sport (Easily the best car I have ever owned. Excellent engine, quality interior and looks that give real road presence)

Also own:
K reg (1972) MGB Roadster (soon to be sold as instructed by fiancee who wants me to pay off my debts before marriage looms :noshake: )

Oh dear, I have owned some really bad motors :$

Some cheating in the middle as some were company cars, but I can't believe I drove some of this old rubbish.

P suffix Mini Van - Dark green. Did 85mph once, then dropped to bits
V suffix Fiesta 1.1L (was my Dad's, but he was working abroad). Midnight blue. Thought it was fantastic at the time.
:dozey: Y suffix Metro 1.1L in metallic green. Engine block had a blooming great crack in it when I bought it. I wish the RAC had done inspections in those days.
F Prefix Vauxhall Astra. Pale blue, 3 door. Cost £5,200. Good motor, but then the girlfriend left me and took the car with her.
G Prefix Sierra 1.8LX Company Car. 82,000 miles in 14 months. What a motor!
H Prefix Sierra 1.8LX Sapphire. 40,000 then I dumped it into the back of a Renault 21. Wrote off the Renault and the Vauxhall in front of it, but the Sierra was repaired.
:) G Reg Carlton 2.0CD. Fast and safe! At 159,000 miles was forced to give it back 'cos it was costing the company too much in fuel.
:( J Reg Pug 405 'Style' Diesel (normally aspirated 1.9D). If there was ever a misuse of the word 'Style' this was it. The spoiler came in useful when it needed pushing up hills. Cooked 3 batteries!
J Reg Sierra 1.8LX Estate. That's it. I'm off if you can't give me a better car to drive than a 405 and this Sierra.
:-D L Reg Pug 306 D Turbo. Mine. All Mine. Fantastic motor, then after 60,000 sold it for the following crap.
:( P Reg Chrysler Neon. I even had a spoiler put on this and had it debadged. What a tw*t! 82,000 miles and it was worn out.
:-D R Reg Mitsi Carisma 1.8GLX Auto. Brilliantly comfortable and reliable motor (for the most part). Ex-Jersey hire car with 7months and 3,000 on the clock. Sold it 4 years later with 150,000 on the clock and still as sweet as a nut!
:smug: 02 Reg Galant V6 Sport Auto - the best yet, now that it's working properly.

Oh dear. Hardly feel it's worth me taking part....but here goes nothing....

B reg - 1.3 Austin Metro - Silver
I know it was horrible, had crappy engines and it kept breaking down, but it was my first car and I loved it.

D reg - 1.6i Ford Orion Ghia - Red
My first peformance car, well sort of. Great engine but a heavy car with **** brakes. Always felt it needed more power.

J reg - 2.0 Ford Sierra GT - Metallic Green
I loved this car. I don't care what anyone says about Sierra's this car was a hoot. The twin cam engine could be a little sluggish at times, but when you rev the nuts off it, it fairly flew. Some bugger ran into the back of me - twice!!! :rolleyes5

P reg - 2.5 Ford Mondeo ST24
Again, another great car. Felt fast until you got used to it then you felt it needed more power. Handled superbly (hate to say it, but so far, felt better than the VR4)

W reg - 2.5 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 twin turbo
The beast of today. Got to love it. All that power mixed with luxury, and at what a price. The same money could have got me a slightly younger Ford Mondeo ST200, but I just knew I would get bored with it and quite quickly.

Note the pattern above....the engines are getting bigger and faster everytime. Suspect by the time I'm 65 I'll just have to strap a rocket to my ass. :-D

Don't be misled by the pattern, It is more likely a bell curve, with the VR-4 at the top. My pattern is the same. My next car will have less power than the VR-4, but lighter, I hope.

I've only beren driving nearly 7 years but here goes;

1. 1994 Rover Metro 5-door hatchback with the 1.1l engine, only 4 gears and a manual choke! (SOLD - wanted more power)

2. 1996 Renault Laguna 5-door manual hatchback 1.8l petrol (SOLD - wanted more room for tools)

3. 1998 Peugeot 406 5-door manual estate top-of-the-range Executive model with the 2.0l turbo petrol engine (SOLD - was having some problems at the time and needed something in an emergency)

4. 1989 Vauxhall Astra L 5-door manual estate 1.6 petrol (DIED - brought for £250 with MOT & Tax and did 26,000 miles in 6 months and only died as the site I was working on had a mile of dirt track with bumps and huge puddles and I was rallying it across there)

5. 1994 Vauxhall Frontera 3-door manual 4x4 2.0l petrol - jacked up by 5" with 36" diameter off-road but road legal tyres (DIED - was taking it to the off-road events near Brands Hatch and second time I went I snapped a drive-shaft and damaged the 4-wheel drive system)

6. 1998 Vauxhall Omega 4-door auto saloon 2.5l V6 petrol (SOLD - brought on ebay for £400 and needed cat's replacing, then ended up looking at the full ELITE spec models so sold this then didn't even buy the ELITE and went for the following instead)

7. 2000 Rover 75 Connoisseur 4-door auto saloon 2.5l V6 petrol (SOLD - top of the range model with factory fitted sat-nav, tv, eletric sun blinds, dual zone climate control, etc, etc... Nicest car & still my favourite for a nice drive. Only sold as we had this and the following MG-F at the time and decided to go back to one car between me and my girlfriend that was practical and economical)

8. 1996 MG-F 2-door manual convertible 1.8i 118bhp petrol model (SOLD - my favourite car I've had for being so fun, actually brought as my girlfriends first car for her 18th and took it out to Luxembourg and round the Nurburgring twice. Only sold as we had this and the previous Rover 75 at the time and decided to go back to one car between us that was practical and economical)

9. 1988 Honda CG-125 motorcycle (SOLD - originally brought for my girlfriend as she wanted to upgrade from her moped but I ended up having it for a few weeks to train for my Direct Access bike test

10. 1997 Renault Megane Scenic 5-door auto MPV 1.6l petrol (DEAD - great car for practicality but had an engine mount go which caused a lot of damage to other stuff and it wasn't economically repairable when it came to the MOT)

11. 2008 '58 plate Suzuki GSX-650F motorbike (STILL OWN - brought it brand new about two weeks after doing my big bike test and love it, rediculously fast, comfortable, rediculously economical and cheap to insure)

12. 1996 Ford Escort 4-door manual saloon 1.6l petrol (SOLD - was given to us on loan after the Renault Megane Scenic died as her grandad had died about 4 months before hand and it wasn't being used)

13. 1997 Suzuki GSX-600F motorbike (STILL OWN - was given to my girlfriend after her grandad died)

14. 2001 Peugeot 306 5-door manual estate 1.9TD meridian (DIED - about a week after buying it the cylinder head went, repaired it myself (NEVER AGAIN!!!) and got her back on the road. Took her out to France in August and she managed to drive almost non-stop from 10:30pm friday evening until 8pm saturday evening, yet a few days later whilst out there was going down a hill and teh car cam to a stop and I believe the camshaft that came with the new head had snapped so sold to my mechanic)

15. 1998 Mitsubishi Legnum 5-door auto estate 2.5 V6 Type-S petrol (STILL OWN - My Baby!!!)

16. 2000 Ford Fiesta 5-door manual hatchback 1.25 Zetec S petrol (STILL OWN - Brought for my girlfriend to get to and from Uni as she's not brave enough to use her bike in autumn or winter, or spring, basically she'll just use for about the 1 month of sunshine we get!!! lol)

If we include vehicles I've properly driven aswell the list goes up over 40 and about 50% of them are supercars :) lol

My car history may be a bit boring

1: 1987 G5 Galant 2.0 GLS EXE (Exlusive Edition). It was a model who only came in 87, some stuff u can't find on older or newer Galants. Lovely car to drive. ABS, electric windows, electric sunroof, termostate on the heater, wipers picked up speed when the car did, electric chairs +++ "Champagne" colour

2:1987 G5 Galant 2.0 GLS EXE (Exlusive Edition). When i blew the engine on my first car, i bought one just like it. The only difference was that this one was white.

3:1995 G7 Galant 2.0 GLSI Hatchback. Lovely car, but go tired of it after i basicly changed all the parts that normally wear on a car during 2 years. When i then found rust under the antirust treatment underneath it i got pissed and sold the car.

4:1998 G8 Galant/Legnum 2.0 Sport Edition (Also called winter edition. This combo exterior and interior was supposed to be sold in austria and germany for 6 months in 98. Not sure about that fact, but someone told me this) The car i got now, got loads of plans for it :)

then had a all black calibra 2L - looked like nightrider!

Then i saw the light and got my Galant v6 elegance

Hopefuly at some point i can add a vr4 to the list.
