One of my front door speaker is buzzing at the moment.
Perhaps there is like a hole on it.
Could anyone plz tell me what the size of the front door speakers are?
Thx
Oh btw, mine is 98 facelift model

I have just replaced all of the door speakers in mine.I have gone for JL audio xr650 components in front and xr650 coax in rear.expensive but worth it.better than sony/pioneer and kenwood. If you like dance music go for mtx. Mine need a bit of running in as they are brand new but wow!! already.

The xr jl audio speakers are a very very good set. I got the vr650 component set and they rock, and the xr model are meant to be better, they must great mate?

Interestingly I noticed the other morning that if I pull the handle to open the driver's door the speakers go dead until I close it again.
Maybe it's a way of rducing disturbance to the public but as soon as the wether warms up I think new speakers and wire is in order!

Does the 8th generation Galant saloon take 16cm round speakers front or rear - or will I need 16.5 or 17cm ones..?

I've got great sounding 16cm Pioneers from my old 6th gen Galant and would love to ultilise these than throw them out.

Thanks in advance

Make an adaptor ring out of MDF?

Yeah you'll have to make some speaker baffles out of MDF or you can buy some from a audio shop if you cant be asked.

Some speakers smaller than 17cm are fittable, but only by adding screw holes in to the plastic surrounds. You'll have to do a test fit to see, I think.

Thanks Nick...

Tried my 16cm Pioneers today and they are just a tad too small - so opting for the new, updated versions of what I've got in a 17cm:

The old ones I have are excellent sounding for the money - the new ones are going for arond £58 a pair
