Is this grease ok?

Okay have ahd a problem with dodgy connecting nearside main lamp.

Upon closer inspection this afternoon the plastci connector which houses the contacts and then clips onto the bulb spades is all greased/gummed up. See pic below (forgive the poor quality but light was fading) The grease is a light chocolaty brown. Is this a sign of previous bodge repair? How do i now overcome this?

My connectors are full of grease as well. I assume it's a Mitsi thing but the connectors seem to weaken with age. squeesing the spade connectors together seems to have sorted a similar problem I had .

Its not just a Mitsu thing.
Its just an anti-corrosion and water proofing grease.

As is said connections might have gone a little weak, gentle sqeeze with a pliers should sort any problems.
But be gentle.

as said before, its just anti corrosion grease

Ok cool, gently prising the clips a bit closer seems to have done the trick!
