just putting this out here


i work as a electrical engineer but i would like to do wind turbines (fancy a change) or go offshore got my offshore xert and things tho point is dont really know what one to aim for and how to get into either of them ? tried some agencies but not had any luck so far?


when i left school i worked as a roofer so heights not a problem.

anyone have any imput here would really appreciate any help advice

i take it you are talking big wind farm turbines and not self sufficient small home installs, with solar cells, generators etc.

just interested but can't help you.

yes industrial wind turbines tho i have thought about starting up and installing the house ones. Tho not at that stage as yet

Stu - electrical engineer should help you offshore. I don't deal with this in particular but there could be opportunities in instrumentation/metering, as well as stuff that directly pertains to you. I'd try Petrofac and get your CV on Oilcareers.com. Also, might be worth your while doing a Greenhand course.
