I've just bought replacement rear tail & brake light bulbs, as well as one for the third stop lamp, from Philips' range of VisionPlus...

They are the usual 21/5w and 21w but claim to "reduce the risk of rear-end collissions by providing 50% more reaction time to the car behind. As a result of a brighter and faster lit-up breaking light".

Its blurb goes on to say using VisionPlus gives a 3 meter stopping distance increase to the car behind and 50% more reaction time at 100km/h

More details (and where I bought mine at) at: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=79

Lets see if these are as fantastic as the Philips SilverVision clear indicator bulbs!

That might work for the saloon, but the estates use the 7443 dual-filament wedge bulb (which not even halfords stock).

Yep - H7 are right - good company AutoBulbs, where I got mine from... but for that money go for the Philips X-Treme Power with 80% more light...

Although they are £32 odd there - I picked mine up online for around £26...
