I am still looking for the right kit to fit to my car (for the right price obviously). I have found the following kit:

http://www.msport.co.uk/acatalog/Eibach_Pro_Kits_Mitsubishi.html

Is this about the going rate for these springs. I have found someone who can fit them for me dirt cheap.

Well mate if you want the Eibach's then hows this for a bargain ! :-D :-D

Found this US retailer selling them on eBay brand new - now wait it's a good deal ;)

Same kit as you have seen - same code as the place you are looking at (6028.14) for the 6cyl Galant 1999>

They have 10 sets for sale with "Buy It Now" and it closes in 1 day - now the juicy bit:

Cost: $185 for the kit + $45 postage + $3 insurance = $233.....at todays rate thats a mere £126 all in :-D :-D :-D :-D a saving of £44 :-D

Now can you resist this price ?

Here's the link for you : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33582&item=2456476223

H&R springs £110 + £20 P&P
The H&R springs are prgressive like Eibachs, (PI springs are nt progressive so you dont get the same quality...so i'm led to believe, had PIs on a mazda and they lowered it but did do much for the handling)
H&Rs are known for top quality with the VW boys!

Scottish Ian has Eibachs and he got them for around £130 from an alloy wheel specialist near Glasgow (Gordon Hazelton in Hillington).

According to the Eibach website their springs lower the car as follows:

Front: 30mm
Rear: 25mm

Looks like either kit is worth the money considering the HKS ones for the VR4 are £250 !

Had this come through on my e-mail from the original site I posted. With a 10% discount the price comes out at about £153. As you can see this is open to ALL CVR4 members :-D

Why not push your luck a little and tell him you can get them from the US for £126 delivered to your door - nothing to lose, he may do you an even better deal ;)

That sounds like a good idea. I shall send him the message and see what he says. If anybody else out there is interested, you could always try getting in touch as well (just to query the price etc) to show that there is interest from other CVR4 members. (Remember to add that you are a CVR4 member).

I am thinking that if we can get a good deal on the springs, he may give us deals on the other parts that he stocks ;) :p

It could also be made into another 'bonus' of being a full CVR4 member, especially if he requires proof of membership. Also thinking advertising revenue for the website production 'gang'. :greedy:

still waiting for an answer back from the original dealer. I will keep you posted. Thanks for looking into it for me though guys.

Some good info coming out of it. I have read some fairly variable reviews of the PI springs. I get the idea from what people have said that the Eibach springs are much better, is this right?

Derek's on a full-on spending spree! You must have deep pockets!

Won't lowered and stiffened suspension on those 18s be a bit crashy? :undecided

So are these okay for the VR4 Derek or are you getting HKS ones ?

Hello!

My car has this lower Eibach springs, stock. It´s an editon.
These springs are quite good, the car goes quite good around the corners, an the springs are not too hard.
I never liked to lower a car only with spring without changing the stocks, but thes springs working quite good with the stock shocks.
And it´s makes the car looking quite good!
