While at work and being bored stiff, waiting for paperwork to be signed off, I thought that I'd measure my intercooler.........:smash:

Got home and jumped on here, and to my suprise, the one that's on the car already, is a fair bit bigger than what has been said is the "standard" size for the VR4../Banana /Banana /Banana

I hope that my smuggness isn't short lived!

My intercooler: 500x300x70

The size I read to understand to be standard: 500x155x65

Is this true guy's and gall's, or have I not saved myself the cost of a new intercooler??

Pete

You might be measuring the end-tanks on yours to get the bigger height? Post a photo and we'll all tell you if yours is bigger.

In fact, even easier, does it look like this one?

This is a standard article...

Thanks for the quick reply.

Nope, I only measured the core as it were, and didn't include the end tanks.

As for posting a picture of "mine", I will if you show me yours.........

With a user name of big Pete.........?

Doh!!

B*gger! That means I have to show you mine.

On a serious note, mine looks deeper than the one pictured, and inlet and outlet are at the bottom.

Thanks for doing that tho' Nick.

No problem. I just thought I'd rush out, borrow someone elses car, rip the bumper off, turn the sun on and take a quick photo. Only took a couple of seconds!

Come on then, big Pete. Show us yours!!

I'm thinking that way too.

If I remember correctly, when I looked at Steve the P's, at the Ace, his i/c has two top mounts( as it should have) mine only has one.

TBH, I think that my Leggy has had a front ender at some point, which wasn't recorded. Oh well, I honestly bought the car as an ongoing project, but now realise that realistically, upgrades are to be borrowed from, Evo 4-brake disks,Porsche- calipers, and anything else stumbled across by accident, but I still love the car, it's everthing I want from a car.

I'm starting the tuning thing now, no dout, I'm going to get a few more suprises...good or bad!

Not drunk you know. . . . . .

Yep, not bragging, mine appears to be twice the deapth of standard.

Also, I have a full hks super drager 90mm bore exhaust, and empty screw holes in the dash, and steering coloumn, and a fuel needle counter balanced with depleted urainium, I had a play with a 3.2 boxter in reading the other week, and left him behind.

When the exhaust is sorted (weekend), see Oooooh RollOx,
I think I will have a true base level to start with.

I have found a full, in-house tuning shop called Paramounhttp://www.paramount-performance.com/acatalog/index.htmlt
HTW...
Based in Slough, of which I hope to have a full power dyno run done in the next couple of weeks, as I have sooooo many ideas, and sooo little proof they may work.

I'll let you now peeps.

Ian - because evo's are designed as road legal race cars, Legnums are designed as high speed touring cars for rich japanese men.
