Offset Question

Hi.
I figured that Gdi galant with 4bolts have offset range of 35-45 but what would be most suitable offset number?
Also any number in that range of 35-45 is fine with the performance and look of wheels?

17x8 wheels and 235/45/17 tyres with a 38mm offset will put the tyres right on the edge of the guard, we've got several members with that exact setup and it looks very good.

If you go with smaller wheels like 17x7's then 35mm would be ideal, or maybe even a bit lower again.
