Driving home from work tonight, all of two and a bit miles, me ol' Leggy didn't feel like she was pulling as per the norm.......:inquisiti

Anywho, got home nice and safe, and had a gander up the 'zorst, only to find what looked like black coloured swarf blocking the exit from the back box!!/Grrr

The panfull bit, the system is a full HKS Super Drager, and having had a bit of a read on here, have learned there no longer made!!!

)*&k it!

Any recommendations guy's?

Hmmm.... I imagine you could chop it open and re-pack it? I'd certainly have a try seeing how they're not made any more.

fish it out with a stick and carry on driving

I had this happen on my Omega backbox and it was only marginally louder when emptied of all packing.

yep agree with K on this one , get a good garage to repack the box with some good quality wadding - this place does some top notch stuff www.dynoflow.co.uk . I used them to reduce my noise output by 13db's and it worked a treat

Yeh, I think that your right there, luckily I have a workshop full of welders and fabricators that work for the same company:evilgrin:

Sorry about that, I very nearly spat my dummy then!:baby:

Alright now I've chilled with a cider!

As you can see the internal resinance tube has completely corroded away:speechles

But that's ok, I'll make another out of stainless:scholar:

Wow.... Not a lot to that exhaust, is there? That should make the repair a simple job though!

Theres also a load of baffling to go back in there, I'm sure it should be fine.

Woohoo! And now with all that money saved by having the exhaust repaired, I think it's only right you get a nice gizmo to make the turbos spin that little bit faster! ;) :)

Looks good - so what was the result then? Just a couple of baffle tubes straight through with a load of steel wool packing?

Oooohhh yes indeedy! I'm thinking along the lines of an Apexi boost controller, what d'ya think?

Oh, and some new front disks/pads.

The baffle pipework is a piece of stainless 3", with a shed load of slats cut all around at different stages and different sizes. Once cooled heavy grade wire wool was rapped loosely around said pipe, then baffling was then stuffed around that, then the top waas welded back on.

It really is lke driving a different car now, makes me wonder how long it had been restricting the gas flow before it became apparent to me.
