I think that the notts/s. yorks and manchester contingent will be driving within a few miles of my house. I was going to offer a toilet break/drink to you as you go past if you would like. It also means we can all meet and I can join the train! I am not far from the M42/M5 interchange so anyone using the M5 after birmingham is welcome. It would add about 10-15 mins + stopping time to the journey.

Other point to meet could be near J5 of the M5, as there is a Optimax outlet within a mile of the junction, plus a mac d's, and a burger king the other side!

If not, I will get someone to give me a call so I can start out at the right time to slot on to the M5 with you all.

It will be pistols at dawn at this rate :-D

I was looking earlier Derek and there are already 5 fully paid members in Yorkshire let alone the surrounding counties - get organising the next local meet I say ;)

I say that too, Derek, due to aforementioned can't travel young sprog situation, we could meet at the cow and calf,Ilkley or Bolton Abbey, Or Sun Inn , Blubberhouses, Harewood house at a Hillclimb meet anyone?

lets get this 'northern' meet in a southern area out of the way 1st, then we'll look at getting together again next month somewhere in 'god's own county' !! :-D
If, as some suggested, we should find a better place to meet other than IKEA. then perhaps somewhere like the peak district ??

Nick Mann

Right. Are you interested in meeting on the way? I reckon I need to leave mine at about 10 to get to pub #1 before 12. Any of you want a cup of tea/sausage sandwich at 9-9:30? Shout now or don't. I'll need to give you directions to mine if you are dropping in for a pit-stop.

Kieran

Yeah! A stop off for refreshments etc etc sounds like an excellent plan! Cheers Nick! :thumb1: :boing4:

Dave / Derek - Are we going to firm something up then so we all know when and where we're meeting?

Okay. Assuming you are coming round the M42 to the M5, you need to get off the M42 at J2. (Hopwood Services.) Including the roundabout at the top of the slip road, there are five to negotiate. You need to exit them on the first, first, last, last, first exits. Stay with the road you are on when encountered with traffic lights. I will PM you with the last few details, as I am unsure about posting my address on the internet!! Sorry about the poor quality of the map. The attachment size is a tad restrictive!

I thought Mrs BDA would no longer get in the car with BDA driving? Must be food just for Dave. Either that, or Helen is driving!!

If I meet Kieran at Daves house @ 8.15 am. set off straight away for Nicks house, [ around 70 miles ] 1hr, 15 mins say ??
9.30 ish there, time for a cuppa & a full english breakfast with toast & preserve & fresh orange !! :p :$
then off at 10am ish to Swindon [ around 2 hrs away ]
hows that sound ?? :cool1: ??

Kieran

You are more than welcome....

Methinks that a four hour round trip just for a bacon sarnie would be a tad expensive at 20mpg, though!! :-b
