Hi there and welcome

I would honestly say the best upgrade for any vr4 is a simple , it is called the search function , very cheap and easy to fit and use

True though... this question is asked a lot.

To save a little time however, I would say

For power, number one modification I would make now is the exhaust. A full exhaust including 2.5" down pipes into 3" main pipe.

For handling, number one would be adjustable coilovers.

Why does no one suggest the more important but boring upgrades, coz upgrading the oils and filters would be at the top of my list

:inquisiti What can I say... I am optimistic and assume that people aren't stupid enough to run rubbish oil and filters in their high performance vehicle.

...bah, who am I kidding? Good point actually, I swear I am getting better fuel consumption figures with Amsoil 0w30!

and me too with 5w30 fully synth in the ST-R compared to random brand 15w40 that was in it before.

Once you have confirmed everything in the car is in tip top shape, an exhaust and a boost controller are the two best things to do to quicken up the car.

thanks for the help, yeah i tried looking through forums trying to get a bearing.
I know a simple query like that must be frustrating, but thanks for the help.
Only just got the car, but gonna do the filters and oil change, along with new sparkies and a boost tap.

Nice too see New Zelanders on here.
wouldnt mind catching up with some for a meet

Standard brakes are not brilliant.

If youre gonna make it go faster you should think about some money spent on making it stop as well /rally

$50 on a set of brake pads for the front will sort out the stopping.
