Hi all
Theres a VR4 came in to my local Mitsu dealer for sale last week (someone must have got inside info on it coz i went in on the second day it was in and it was already sold!!) and what i wondered was if it sounds expensive to you VR4 guys. Its a 2001 Y 4 door in silver , i think its one of the cars that was 'officially' imported by Ralliart GB. It was up for sale at £17999 and it has no service history (letters were sent reminding owner that it was due services , but the owner has his own car dealership, maybe he worked on it himself). I just thought it was expensive..what do you think?

Seems over the top to me. I bought a 2001 'Y' last october - legnum, not galant - Ralliart supplied, 19,000 miles with FMSH (although last one was 6000 miles, so I had to pay £25 to put it back in the warranty scheme!) for £13,995.

Think I did alright, though!

Saw one a month before - a '01' with 22k, ralliart and estate, for £15,995. Missed that by a gnats tadger!!

sounds expensive, mines a Ralliart import from new,Nov 99, full Mitsi history, Legnum Station Wagon, and cost £6000. Horrendous mileage on it though105000! I'll let you know if anything falls off

run in, yeah. Run out, I hope not. At one point it was serviced every month! Still, drives sweet and feels tight, not rattly, though I don't have any experience with these cars.

Venomboy - don't worry about the mileage - especially with such frequent servicing. My GLS has 95K on the clock - it's been serviced once every 3 months for most of it's life and feels better than the 'typical' mileage Galant... Vaiava's in notts had a Y-plate GLS that I took for a test-drive before I found my car, and it felt like it needed the cobwebs blowing out.

The service manager at Variava's wasn't surprised at the miles mine's covered... His exact words were "Yeah, we see them coming in with much higher mileages than yours, and lash-adjusters aside(!) they're all fine!"

So have faith and don't worry! :D
